Nominating Committee & Parliamentarian Information

The Nominating Committee consists of five (5) members and two (2) alternatives. This group decides on a slate of people to be on the PTA Board for the following school year. If you wish to be part of this committee you must be a PTA member for at least thirty (30) days prior to the start of the committee. The following PTA Board Member positions are available for the 2021-2022 school year:
President - Coordinate the work of officers and committees, preside at all meetings, appoint Parliamentarian, prepare association annual report, official representative at council and district meetings.
Vice President - Serve as the primary aid to the president, and perform duties in the absence of the president.
Vice President of Membership - Remit dues, distribute perks of membership and membership cards, increase membership, keep a record of all members, report and promote membership at each meeting.
Vice President of Programs - In charge of all programs budgeted for the school year, and nominate chairs to run each program. Programs include, but are not limited to; Reflections, Fall Social, Red Ribbon Week, Teacher Appreciation Week, Mother Daughter Tea, Guys Night, Spring Social.
Vice President of Middle School Coordinator - Inform the association about middle school events and activities. Coordinate with PTA in planning and supervising join ventures.
Treasurer - Keep permanent books of account and records to establish items of gross income, receipts and disbursements, including the number of members, dues collected from members, and the amount of dues remitted, chair the budget committee and prepare budget for adoption, secure signatures of all authorized signers, receive and retain deposit slips, prepare authorizations for payment, keep a ledger of accurate records, and present treasurer report at every meeting etc.
Recording Secretary - Keep an accurate record of proceedings of all meetings in a book, be prepared to refer to minutes from previous meetings, prepare list of unfinished business for president, record all expenditures, keep a current list of paid members, and a copy of the bylaws.
Financial Secretary - Give receipts of monies received and deposit immediately in a bank and give copy of the slip to treasurer, keep an accurate record of all receipts, present a monthly report at every meeting, and make an annual report to association.
Auditor - Audit the books and financial records of association semiannually. Prepare a midyear report for January to present to executive board in February and the Association Meeting in March. Prepare a year end audit to be completed by the end of school year. The written report should be prepared for the August Executive Board Meeting and September Association Meeting.
Historian - Shall assemble and preserve a record of activities, achievements and volunteers hours of the association, act as custodian of the records and other materials pertaining to the history of the association, and assist the president with the preparation go the associations annual report.
