MathCounts is a nationwide middle school mathematics competition program designed to build problem-solving skills and foster a love for math. Students work to solve a variety of challenging math problems under timed conditions.
Competitions take place in several rounds, starting with local Chapter competitions and progressing to State and National levels. The contest format includes written rounds (sprint and target) as well as team and fast-paced buzzer-style rounds, making it both exciting and engaging for participants.
Our school MathCounts team typically participates in local Chapter-level contests each year. Practice sessions are held to help students sharpen their problem-solving skills and work collaboratively with their peers.
